Welcome to the first blog in the soul connection series.
In this blog series, I’ll be taking you on a soul journey, as I connect with my spirit guides through Sacred Spirit Journeys (which are similar to shamanic journeys) and bring back and share with you the beautiful and wise messages from spirit, inspiring and guiding you to connect with your soul and live a soulful life.
This first journey is based upon a phrase the popped into my mind one morning as I was doing yoga:
”Your soul is singing – can you hear it?”
I decided to do a journey to receive further insights, and the following is what happened:The Sacred Spirit Journey
As I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey, I find myself in a forest with my spirit guide. It’s very peaceful and beautiful here, and the sun is shining. One of the first thing that strikes me is the sound of birds singing.We are walking and come to a tree where a little bird is sitting on a branch, singing beautifully.
The bird greets us and says:
“Your soul is like a bird singing its song. If you listen carefully, you can hear it. It’s singing about your heart’s desires, the freedom of your spirit, and about the joy which is your true nature.
Let the bird be a symbol for you and a way for you to connect with the joy of your soul. Its beautiful song leads you back to your heart, which is the place where you’ll meet it [your soul], and the place from where your heart path goes.
As you walk your soul’s path, let your soul’s song guide you to live a life of joy, and create the life of your dreams.”
Marianne: “Beautiful. Do you have a specific step people can take today?”
Bird answers:
“Go out in nature and listen. Listen to the birds singing, listen to the rustling leaves in the wind, and listen to the stillness – and find therein the peace which guides you back to your heart and back to your soul.
Carry the image of a little bird singing the song of your soul with you as you go about the day.
Soulful blessings.”

What a beautiful post. This spring I built a bird sanctuary in my back yard and watch and listen to the birds every morning. it is such a blessing.
I love to listen to the birds singing! I find it uplifting and it makes me happy. I try to figure out what it is they are singing, but all I know is they are spreading joy. Congrats on the book…happy to be in it with you!

Beautiful post, I loved the guided visualization and your dialogue with the bird. Connecting with nature daily keeps me grounded and whole. I have a beautiful variety of backyard and neighborhood birds that I get to connect with on walks or sitting in the yard and their songs do inspire me.
I love birds too, Minette. I can watch them right outside my window when I do dishes, so I love doing dishes 🙂
